IERIS Director Advocates for Inclusive Education at NCRIBE Research Presentation
Prof. Hope Pius Nudzor, Director of the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) at the University of Education, Winneba, has called on educators, students, and administrators to become advocates for inclusivity beyond academia. He made this appeal during a seminar disseminating findings from a study on challenges faced by children with disabilities in Winneba, conducted by the National Centre for Research into Basic Education (NCRIBE).
Prof. Nudzor urged attendees to turn research insights into tangible social change and highlighted the importance of interdepartmental collaboration in promoting inclusive education. He clarified that IERIS aims to empower researchers across the university, not conduct research alone.
The event drew participation from the Ghana Education Service, university departments, and students. It ended with a strong call for empathy, tolerance, and continued efforts toward building an education system that includes everyone.
