DIVAGRI project takes final-year Students through field training
Final-year Agricultural Engineering students took part in hands-on training on modern irrigation systems, organized under the DIVAGRI project, which promotes climate-smart, low-cost agriculture. Led by Prof. Ransford Opoku Darko, students learned practical skills in sprinkler, drip, and clay-based SLECI irrigation technologies. A key feature was the use of recycled bottles for urban gardening irrigation. Principal Investigator Dr. Francis Kumi stressed the importance of bridging theory with practice, especially in climate-vulnerable areas. The session aimed to equip students with tools for sustainable, water-efficient farming
