UG Signs 5-Year MoU with FDA Ghana to Advance Research, Training and Public Health
The University of Ghana, through its Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST), has signed a five-year MoU with the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Ghana to boost collaboration in research, training, student internships, and public health initiatives. Signed by Prof. Gordon Awandare and Mr. Seth Seaneke, the agreement aims to bridge academia and regulatory practice. Prof. Awandare emphasized the importance of such partnerships in addressing graduate unemployment and enhancing workforce readiness. Mr. Seaneke highlighted the FDA’s commitment to going beyond regulation to foster innovation and capacity building. The MoU is expected to drive joint projects, practical learning opportunities, and sustainable development, aligning with the University’s strategic goals of impactful research and student transformation.
