ATL Hall Library Benefits from Alumni Book Donation
The Atlantic Hall of the University of Cape Coast has received a major boost to its academic resources, thanks to the generous donation of Mathematics and Statistics books by two distinguished alumni—Prof. Kwame Osei Bonsu and Prof. Mizan Khan—both faculty members at Eastern Connecticut State University in the USA.
At a presentation ceremony led by former UCC Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Jeff Teye Onyame, and Prof. Daniel Apaak, Dean of Students, the books were officially handed over to Hall Master Prof. Francis Kwaw Andoh in the presence of student leaders and executives.
Mr. Onyame praised the legacy of Prof. Bonsu, fondly remembered as “Staccato,” and highlighted the significance of this donation in promoting academic excellence.
Prof. Andoh expressed gratitude, noting the books would greatly benefit students. Prof. Apaak urged more alumni to follow suit in strengthening academic support in student residences.
Other dignitaries and student leaders also witnessed the event. The Hall expressed deep appreciation, hoping the gesture inspires similar contributions.
