Ing. Prof. Isaac Monney of AAMUSTED has won the 2025 Engineering Concepts and Innovation Award from the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) for his outstanding contributions to solving Ghana’s water and sanitation challenges through innovative engineering.
The award, presented during GhIE’s 55th Annual Conference in March 2025, recognizes his impactful project designs, environmental contributions, and commitment to sustainable development. Prof. Monney previously won the Most Promising Startup Award from DTU Skylab’s Next Generation Water Action in 2021 for his work in the wastewater sector.
As Head of the Department of Environmental Health and Sanitation Education, he holds a PhD in Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles. He is also a member of the International Water Association (UK) and the Ghana Science Association.
