Accra, Ghana – July 1, 2025 – The University of Ghana, under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, has unveiled its first Hotspot Comfort Zone on June 30, 2025. This student-friendly space, sponsored by the University of Ghana Alumni Association, offers high-speed internet, comfortable seating, and modern washrooms, with plans for a future snack bar. Part of the university’s digitalization drive launched in 2022, the zone aims to enhance the student experience by providing a vibrant space for studying and socializing. Prof. Amfo emphasized its purpose as a hub for productivity, not rest. The initiative has been hailed as a transformative step for campus life, with more zones planned.
