The University for Development Studies (UDS) has announced the promotion of several academic and administrative staff, following approval by the Governing Council at its 105th meeting on June 11, 2025. The promotions reflect UDS’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
Key academic promotions include Prof. Abdulai Abubakari (Professor of Maternal and Child Health) and seven others elevated to Associate Professor ranks. A posthumous promotion was also granted to Ing. Prof. Abdul-Ganiyu Shaibu.
In administration, Mr. Nurudeen Issah Abubakar’s tenure as Registrar was extended, and Mr. Kwabena Isaac Parry was promoted to Deputy Director of Internal Audit.
