UPSA launches Project ‘INSPIRE’ to boost youth entrepreneurship in Ghana
The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), in partnership with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, E4Impact Foundation, and the Catholic University of Milan, has launched Project INSPIRE—a 36-month initiative aimed at transforming Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
INSPIRE will create 1,620 jobs, improve education for 700 youth, and support 570 SMEs. The project includes the creation of an Italian Innovation Centre at UPSA and partnerships with eight TVET institutions to align training with job market demands.
Key figures including UPSA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mawutor, Italian Ambassador Laura Ranalli, and Youth Minister George Opare Addo praised the initiative as a strategic step toward youth empowerment, practical skills development, and inclusive economic growth.
