UPSA, Ghana Gas explore strategic partnership
The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has begun strategic talks with the Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) to establish a partnership focused on capacity building, research, and knowledge transfer.

At a meeting held on May 8, 2025, a Ghana Gas delegation led by Sophia Kwakye Marfo met with UPSA officials. Prof. Emmanuel Selase Asamoah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and emphasized UPSA’s commitment to building strong industry-academia collaborations.

Key points from the meeting included:
• UPSA’s interest in integrating real-world business experiences into academic programmes.
• The university’s readiness to develop custom training programmes for corporate partners.
• Ghana Gas expressed appreciation for the initiative and committed to reviewing the proposal.

Other UPSA representatives included Mrs. Lorraine Gyan (Registrar), Prof. Samuel Antwi (Pro VC for Research), and Mrs. Aba Lokko (Director of Public Affairs).

Further discussions are expected to solidify the partnership framework in the coming weeks.
