Bright Gyan Elected 32nd UEW SRC President for 2026/2027 Academic Year

Bright Gyan has been elected as the 32nd President of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Students’ Representative Council (SRC) for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Gyan secured 7,027 votes, representing 52.21% of the cumulative votes recorded, according to results reported by Radio Windy Bay 98.3FM.

He finished ahead of Kenneth Amoah, who polled 4,210 votes (31.28%), while Akpalu Seyram placed third with 2,223 votes (16.52%).

A total of 13,460 votes were recorded in the cumulative results, with Gyan crossing the 50% mark to emerge as the clear winner of the SRC presidential race.

His election marks the beginning of his tenure as the 32nd UEW SRC President, as he prepares to lead the Council during the 2026/2027 academic year.
