Matilda Dibloni Kokar has been elected the 24th President of the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) following the association’s 2026 elections. Her election ushers in a new leadership team to represent the interests of university students across the country.
Kokar will lead the 24th USAG administration alongside Clifford Agyei, popularly known as “Obama”, who has been elected Treasurer. Joachim Dzimesah has also been elected General Secretary, taking responsibility for the association’s administrative affairs.
Other elected officers include Linda Ayesu, who will serve as Press and Information Secretary, and Suweiba Osumanu, who has been elected Coordinating Secretary. They will form part of the executive team responsible for the association’s activities and engagement with students and other stakeholders.
The new executives are expected to take up their respective roles as the 24th USAG administration begins its tenure. Their responsibilities will include representing students’ interests and contributing to discussions on issues affecting university students in Ghana.
The election marks a new chapter for USAG as the newly elected officers begin work to advance the association’s mandate. The executives have been congratulated on their election and encouraged to serve the student community effectively.
