The University of Cape Coast (UCC) is looking to deepen its relationship with Zenith Bank Ghana, with discussions focusing on collaboration, campus operations and possible investment in university infrastructure.

The discussions followed a meeting between UCC Vice Chancellor, Prof. Denis Worlanyo Aheto, and a delegation from Zenith Bank Ghana led by its Divisional Head, Mr. Kofi Abrokwa Kokroko.

The bank used the engagement to congratulate Prof. Aheto on his appointment and reaffirm its interest in maintaining a strong relationship with the University. The delegation also raised some challenges affecting the bank’s operations on the UCC campus and sought the University’s support in addressing them.

Prof. Aheto welcomed the engagement and said UCC was prepared to strengthen its partnerships with financial institutions, particularly those operating within the University.

He encouraged Zenith Bank to explore opportunities to invest in the University through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), highlighting the important role such collaborations can play in developing infrastructure and facilities.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss ways of building on their existing relationship and creating greater value for the University community.

The Zenith Bank delegation included Patricia Morrison, Thomas Birch Freeman Essel, Joseph Afugu and Marian Davis.
