The University of Ghana Hospital has received medical equipment valued at more than GH¢290,000 from Newmont Ghana to enhance patient care and strengthen healthcare service delivery.
The donation included patient monitors, hospital beds with mattresses, infusion pumps, an ECG machine, suction machines, ward screens, drip stands and bedside cabinets. The equipment is expected to improve the Hospital’s capacity to meet the healthcare needs of the University community and the general public.
Presenting the items, Newmont’s Director of Communications and External Relations, Mr. David Johnson, said the donation forms part of the company’s commitment to supporting healthcare delivery and improving health outcomes through strategic partnerships.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the University, Prof. Godwin Abeka-Nkrumah, Chairman of the University Hospital Management Committee, expressed appreciation to Newmont, noting that the equipment would significantly improve patient care and support the Hospital’s operations.
