The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA), Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fusseini, to congratulate him on his appointment and discuss areas of collaboration for community development.

Led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, the UPSA delegation highlighted student safety, infrastructure development, research, and revenue generation as key areas for partnership between the University and the Assembly.

The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that UPSA had secured approval to extend the road linking the University to the University of Ghana Business School, with plans to construct pedestrian walkways to improve safety for students, staff, and other road users.

He also proposed collaboration through the University's Business Development Centre and the deployment of students to support research and property data collection within the municipality, providing practical learning opportunities while contributing to the Assembly's development planning.

Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fusseini welcomed the proposals and encouraged UPSA to submit a formal business proposal, indicating that a Memorandum of Understanding would be developed to formalise the partnership.
