KNUST Renews Appointments of Three Senior Officers
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has renewed the appointments of three senior officers following approval by the University Council at its 293rd Regular Meeting held on June 18, 2026.

The renewed appointments are Prof. Dadson Awunyo-Vitor as Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Moses Tsiquaye as Internal Auditor, and Mr. Emmanuel Nii Okaidza Afful as Director of University Information Technology Services (UITS).

Prof. Awunyo-Vitor’s appointment has been renewed for a further three-year term from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2029. He has led the College in strengthening teaching, research, and outreach in agriculture, agribusiness, and natural resource management.

Mr. Tsiquaye will continue as Internal Auditor for a two-year term from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2028, overseeing the University’s internal controls, risk management, and financial accountability systems.

Mr. Afful’s appointment as Director of UITS has been renewed for five years, from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2031. He is credited with driving KNUST’s digital transformation through improvements in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital learning platforms, and enterprise systems.

The University said the renewals reflect the Council’s confidence in the leadership and contributions of the three officers as KNUST continues to advance its academic, administrative, and technological development.
