The Health Directorate of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has received a donation of two 43-inch Sigma television sets and a satellite dish from Medilab Diagnostic Services Limited as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The donation is also part of an ongoing partnership between Medilab and the university’s health facility aimed at improving patient care and wellbeing.

According to the Health Directorate, the items will be used for “diversional therapy,” a patient care approach designed to reduce stress, anxiety and discomfort during treatment. The televisions will be installed in hospital wards to enhance the comfort and recovery experience of patients during their stay.

The Director of Health Services, Dr. Solomon Fofie, expressed gratitude to Medilab Diagnostic Services for the support and described the gesture as timely and impactful for patient care delivery at the facility.

He also noted that the Directorate is working towards formalising the partnership to ensure more structured and long-term support for the university’s health services.

The donation is expected to improve the overall patient experience at the UENR Health Directorate while strengthening collaboration between the university and private healthcare partners.
