An alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Joel Kwabena Aboagye, has led MAC Partners Group to win the Best Exhibitor Marketing Campaign Award at the 2026 West Africa Mining and Power Exhibition (WAMPEX), highlighting the growing influence of KNUST graduates in industry and corporate communications.

The award, introduced for the first time at WAMPEX 2026, recognises exhibitors who demonstrated outstanding promotional impact and audience engagement before and during the exhibition. MAC Partners Group secured the honour after recording the highest number of visitor registrations through a targeted and personalised marketing campaign.

Joel Aboagye, Marketing Lead at MAC Partners Group and a graduate of KNUST’s Communication Design programme, described the achievement as a major milestone for both the company and its team, attributing the success to creativity, strategy, and consistent effort in brand development.

He noted that the recognition reflects the growing importance of strategic communication and branding within the mining sector, adding that it serves as motivation to continue driving innovation and measurable impact.

Reflecting on his academic background, he credited KNUST for equipping him with creative and analytical skills that have shaped his professional journey. He explained that his training in Communication Design strengthened his problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and strategic thinking.

Joel further highlighted his professional experience at Citi FM/Citi TV, Newmont Africa, and MAC Partners Group, noting that these roles have helped him blend creative communication with technical insight to enhance corporate storytelling and brand visibility in the mining industry.
