The Women’s Commission of the 59th Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra has launched the Flo 360 Pad Bank Initiative to improve access to menstrual hygiene products for female students.
The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs and Flo 360 Global Limited, aims to ensure that students do not face academic or social challenges due to a lack of sanitary products.
Located on the ground floor of the LBC Block, the Pad Bank provides free sanitary pads through a structured distribution system designed to ensure privacy and accessibility.
Speaking at the launch, Dean of Student Affairs Philomena Dadzie described the initiative as an important step toward promoting student welfare, confidence and dignity, while helping to reduce stigma surrounding menstruation.
Representatives of Flo 360 Global Limited reaffirmed their commitment to supporting menstrual health education and maintaining regular supplies for the Pad Bank.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to create an inclusive and supportive campus environment where female students can fully participate in academic and campus life without barriers related to menstrual health.
