Lord Listowell Apochi Boade, popularly known as Lord Listowell, has been elected the 21st President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, for the 2026/2027 academic year.

He contested under the “Voice of the People” campaign theme, with Matla Nyarko as his running mate. The Listowell–Matla ticket emerged victorious after a competitive presidential race involving several candidates.

The election was held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, after the UMaT SRC Electoral Commission postponed the initial August 13 election date. Voting took place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. across designated voting centres.

Listowell’s campaign centred on student representation and addressing practical concerns affecting the UMaT student body. His campaign was also identified with the rallying call “Sei Ku2uu!! Sei Bam!!”, which featured prominently throughout the election period.

His election brings to an end weeks of campaigning, debates, manifesto engagements and other activities leading up to the polls. Lord Listowell will now lead the incoming SRC administration alongside Matla Nyarko as Vice President-elect for the 2026/2027 academic year.
