The Kumasi Technical University has hosted Molusiwa Stephan Ramabodu of the Durban University of Technology in South Africa on a six-day working visit aimed at deepening collaboration between the two institutions.
The visit focused on strengthening cooperation in postgraduate education, research, academic exchange and innovation.
During discussions with KsTU management, led by Vice-Chancellor Gabriel Dwomoh, both institutions explored opportunities for joint research projects, postgraduate training, staff and student exchange programmes, and co-supervision of master’s and doctoral research.
A key area of discussion was the potential involvement of KsTU staff and students in research and training opportunities under DUT’s South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI) programme.
The two universities also expressed commitment to expanding collaboration in engineering, construction innovation, sustainable development and community engagement.
University officials described the visit as a significant step toward enhancing academic cooperation and creating new opportunities for students and researchers across both institutions.
