The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Education, Winneba has commissioned a giant LED screen, unveiled newly installed dustbins across campus and launched the “Yi Bi Boa” Project to support future student-centred initiatives.

The projects, implemented with support from the university’s management, were officially launched at a ceremony held at the Students Centre in Winneba.

The newly installed LED screen is expected to enhance communication on campus by providing a platform for university announcements, educational content and student information. The additional dustbins form part of efforts to improve sanitation and encourage proper waste management.

A major highlight of the event was the launch of the “Yi Bi Boa” Project, an SRC fundraising initiative aimed at mobilising resources for future development projects that will benefit students and the wider university community.

Speaking at the event, SRC President Annobil Ebenezer called on students, staff and alumni to support the initiative, expressing confidence that it would help fund impactful projects and improve student welfare.

University officials commended the SRC for undertaking projects that promote campus development, environmental responsibility and effective communication.
