The Governments of Ghana and Jamaica have announced a joint recruitment exercise targeting qualified medical professionals for opportunities in Jamaica’s healthcare system.

The recruitment covers specialist nurses in areas including neonatology, oncology, critical care, nephrology, emergency and peri-operative nursing, as well as registered nurses and midwives. Physician fellowship positions are also available for specialists such as surgeons, cardiologists, nephrologists, anaesthesiologists and pathologists.

Applicants are required to meet the regulatory standards of the Medical and Dental Council as well as the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana, with at least two years of post-basic working experience.

The application process requires submission of academic certificates, proof of professional standing, appointment letters, criminal record clearance, identification documents, reference letters and other supporting records.

Applications open on June 1, 2026, and close on June 5, 2026, through the Ministry of Health Recruitment Portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh.
