KNUST Men’s Football Team Qualifies for Quarter-Finals at 9th Mini GUSA Games
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) men’s football team has secured a place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 9th Mini Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games after a strong showing in the group stage.

The defending champions won two of their three matches, scoring 10 goals in total. They began with a commanding 6-0 win over Ghana Communication Technology University, suffered a 1-0 loss to the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, and responded with a 4-2 victory over the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) to book their place in the last eight.

KNUST, who are current GUSA men’s football champions, will face their next opponent on May 11, 2026, as they continue their title defence.

The university is also performing strongly across other disciplines, currently sitting on 9 gold, 5 silver, and 11 bronze medals at the ongoing games.
