The University of Professional Studies, Accra has officially opened applications for admission into its undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The university is inviting qualified applicants to apply through its online admissions portal after purchasing the required Online Serial Number (OSN), with forms available to both local and international applicants.
As part of the new academic year intake, UPSA has announced several flagship undergraduate programmes including Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics, Bachelor of Arts in Applied French and Communication, Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Analytics, Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Transport Management, Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management and Finance, Bachelor of Science in Business Economics, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science.
The university also clarified that the Bachelor of Business Administration programme no longer offers options, advising applicants interested in accounting to apply for either Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance.
At the postgraduate level, UPSA has introduced a number of new programmes aimed at expanding professional and academic opportunities. These include LLM Competition and Consumer Protection Law, LLM Natural Resources and Climate Change Law, LLM International Business and Commercial Law, MA Digital and Strategic Marketing Management, MA Media and Digital Communication Management, MSc Applied Statistics, MSc Information Systems, MBA Leadership and Strategy, MBA Corporate Communication, MPhil Applied Statistics, MPhil Accounting, PhD Accounting, PhD Management, PhD Information Systems, and several others.
According to the university, Regular Session undergraduate programmes are available only for Level 100 applicants, while Evening and Weekend Sessions are open to Level 100, Level 200, and Level 300 applicants. Diploma programmes remain available across all sessions.
Applicants writing the 2026 WASSCE, GBCE, or ABCE examinations are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their examination index numbers and subjects during the online application process.
UPSA further directed all graduates of the university, including those expected to graduate in September 2026, to indicate their student ID numbers when applying.
The university announced that Online Serial Numbers cost GH¢250 for Ghanaian applicants and US$120 for international applicants. The serial numbers can be purchased through selected banks nationwide, Ghana Post branches, or via mobile money using shortcode 8879#.
Applicants are required to upload supporting documents in PDF format, including certified certificates, transcripts, proof of date of birth, and relevant professional certifications where applicable.
Among the key deadlines announced, Post-First Degree LLB applications close on Saturday, May 2, 2026, Mature applications close on Friday, June 5, 2026, Postgraduate PhD applications close on Friday, May 29, 2026, while most postgraduate and top-up undergraduate applications close on Friday, August 21, 2026.
UPSA advised applicants to carefully complete their forms, noting that changes of programme after submission will not be permitted.
The university also cautioned prospective students against paying money to individuals claiming they can secure admission, stressing that the admissions process remains transparent and merit-based.
