The University of Professional Studies, Accra Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Electoral Commission has announced a decentralized voting system for the 2026 SRC elections scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026.
According to the Electoral Commission, the exercise will run from 7:00am to 9:00pm and is designed to improve convenience, ensure orderliness, and increase student participation.
Under the arrangement, students will vote at designated polling centres based on their faculties and programmes, with four main voting locations identified across campus.
The Basketball Court will serve students from the Faculty of Information Studies, while the UPSA Club House will cater for the Faculty of Management Studies.
Students from the School of Law and Professional Courses will vote at the Yaw Osei Adutwum Premises, while those from the Faculty of Accounting and Finance will cast their ballots at the Lawn Tennis Court.
The Commission has directed students to present a valid UPSA ID card and proof of registration or portal verification, while students from the professional school must also provide a Ghana Card or passport.
It added that both internal and external security personnel will be deployed at all polling centres to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
Students have been urged to comply strictly with all guidelines to guarantee a free, fair, and smooth election.
