The Legon District Police Commander, Superintendent Charles Kwakye, has pledged continued collaboration with the University of Ghana to enhance security across the university community.
During a working visit, Superintendent Kwakye said strong cooperation between the police and university management is essential to maintaining peace and safety on campus.
He stated that since taking office, the Legon District Police Command has been working closely with the university’s Safety and Security Services Directorate to address security concerns and preserve order.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo welcomed the visit and assured the police of the university’s full support in advancing preventive security strategies.
She also urged officers to remain professional and respectful in their engagement with students while staying vigilant against threats.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships between the university and security agencies for a safer campus environment.
