The Ghana Education Service has announced the release of funds to all Senior High Schools and Senior High Technical Schools across the country to support the payment of fees for the 2026 WASSCE practical examinations.

In a statement issued on April 21, 2026, the Service said the payment would ensure that all practical examinations scheduled for the year are fully supported, including the supply of required materials and other essential resources needed for the successful conduct of the exams.

According to GES, the intervention is intended to promote a smooth and well-coordinated examination process, allowing candidates to focus on their academic preparation while easing any additional financial burden on parents and guardians.

The statement, signed by Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, further directed regional, district, and school authorities to ensure that the funds are used strictly for their intended purpose.

Management noted that monitoring mechanisms have been established to track the utilisation of the funds, ensure compliance, and maintain high standards in the administration of the examinations.

GES also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their continued cooperation in advancing quality education and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students ahead of the 2026 WASSCE.
