The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has officially opened the sale of application e-vouchers for prospective applicants seeking admission into its degree and top-up programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The admission window is open to holders of WASSCE, SSSCE, GCE Advanced Level, GBCE, ABCE, and International Baccalaureate qualifications, as well as mature applicants. Candidates awaiting the release of the 2026 WASSCE results are also eligible to apply.
According to the university, applicants must satisfy the specific entry requirements under their qualification category. For WASSCE and SSSCE candidates, this includes credit passes in core subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, in addition to three relevant elective subjects with an aggregate of 24 or better.
Mature applicants must be at least 25 years old and provide proof of age. They are also expected to meet the minimum academic requirements or pass an entrance examination and interview.
International applicants, including candidates from French-speaking countries, may also apply but must provide proof of English proficiency alongside the standard admission requirements.
Applicants can purchase e-vouchers online through the admissions portal using bank cards or mobile money. Ghanaian applicants may also buy vouchers through designated Ghana Post offices or via approved shortcode options.
The application processing fee has been set at GH¢250 for Ghanaian applicants, while international applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of US$100.
KNUST announced that applications for mature, top-up, and international candidates will close on August 31, 2026. Applications for Ghanaian candidates awaiting WASSCE results will remain open until the release of results.
The university stated that the entire application process must be completed online, including the upload of all required documents such as certificates, identification, and supporting records.
KNUST further stressed that admissions are handled solely by the Central Undergraduate Admissions Committee and warned applicants against using middlemen or attempting to influence the process.
Prospective applicants have been advised to carefully read all admission guidelines on the university’s official website before applying.
