The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Energy and Natural Resources has announced the distribution of Telecel SIM cards to all Level 100 students as part of efforts to improve communication and support academic activities on campus. The initiative, spearheaded by the SRC’s Projects and Planning Committee, is aimed at ensuring freshmen have reliable access to connectivity for both academic research and day-to-day interactions.
According to the SRC, the distribution exercise will take place from Wednesday, March 25 to Thursday, April 2, 2026, between 9:00am and 5:00pm daily at the forecourt of Hall One. To ensure an orderly process and avoid overcrowding, a departmental timetable will be released to guide students on when to report for collection.
The exercise is strictly limited to Level 100 students, and all beneficiaries are required to present a valid Ghana Card for SIM registration, along with either their admission letter or student ID for verification. These requirements are intended to ensure proper identification and a smooth registration process.
The SRC has urged all eligible students to cooperate fully with the guidelines provided, emphasizing that the success of the initiative depends on adherence to the schedule and requirements. The move reflects the Council’s commitment to enhancing student welfare and improving access to digital resources within the university community.
