KNUST Student Dies After Falling from Hostel

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of a second-year student, Mr. Ransford Amankwah Asomani, who reportedly fell from the second floor of an off-campus hostel on Saturday, February 8, 2026.

According to an official press release issued by the university, the incident occurred in the early hours of the day under circumstances that are yet to be fully established. Mr. Asomani was immediately rushed to the KNUST Hospital for emergency medical attention, but was unfortunately pronounced dead upon arrival.
