The Ministry of Health has provided an update on the payment of arrears for the 2020 batch of Nurses and Midwives, following an earlier schedule issued by the Ministry of Finance.
In a press release issued by Spokesperson Tony Goodman on May 27, 2026, the Ministry confirmed that the three months of outstanding arrears scheduled for payment in May 2026 have been successfully paid.
However, the Ministry noted that some nurses experienced discrepancies, with isolated cases not receiving the full three months of arrears as expected.
It assured affected personnel that it is working closely with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to resolve the issue and ensure that all outstanding balances are paid, including adjustments alongside June payments.
The Ministry expressed appreciation to nurses and midwives for their patience, dedication and service to the country, and assured them that further updates will be communicated as the process continues.
