A 56-year-old security man at the Ayeduase Roman Catholic Junior High School, Lloyd Kwaku Boateng, has been arraigned before the Asokore Mampong District Court over alleged rape and sextortion involving two students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He is facing charges of rape, extortion, and intimidation following two separate incidents reported in February and April 2026.

According to police prosecutors, the first incident occurred on February 13, 2026, when a 22-year-old student visited the school compound with her boyfriend. Boateng is alleged to have confronted the couple, assaulted the boyfriend, seized their phones and keys, and demanded money before forcing the boyfriend to leave.

He is further accused of threatening the victim, dragging her into a classroom, and raping her despite resistance.

In the second case on April 4, 2026, a 23-year-old student reported a similar ordeal, alleging that the accused intimidated her and her boyfriend, detained her, and later raped her at knifepoint. He is also alleged to have forced her to transfer money via mobile money and taken nude photographs, threatening to release them if she reported the incident.

Boateng was arrested on April 13, 2026, after allegedly attempting similar actions on another victim, with the help of community members.

Medical reports submitted to court reportedly confirmed physical trauma for both complainants, although the accused has denied the allegations in his caution statement.

The prosecution has urged the court to remand him to assist further investigations, adding that duplicate dockets have been forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for advice.

The case has been adjourned to May 8, 2026, with Boateng remanded into custody.
