UCC Assesses Bole College of Education for Institutional Affiliation
A delegation from the Institute of Education at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has conducted a monitoring and assessment visit to Bole College of Education as part of the process to determine the College's readiness for institutional affiliation.

The assessment forms part of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission's (GTEC) regulatory requirements for tertiary institutions seeking affiliation and supports UCC's quality assurance efforts to ensure that prospective affiliate institutions meet the University's academic and institutional standards.

The delegation, made up of Prof. (Mrs.) Alfredina Z. P. Kuupole, Prof. Christopher Y. Kwaah, and Mr. Ebenezer Dzimpa Effisah, evaluated the College's preparedness to deliver quality teacher education in line with national regulations and UCC's affiliation requirements.

During the visit, the team inspected key areas of the College's operations, including its academic programmes, governance structures, infrastructure, staffing, learning resources, and overall institutional capacity. The delegation also engaged the College's management and staff on issues relating to compliance with UCC's affiliation standards.

According to UCC, the findings from the assessment will help determine whether Bole College of Education is ready to be affiliated with the University's Institute of Education.

Bole College of Education is a newly established teacher education institution in the Savannah Region, created to expand access to quality teacher education and strengthen the training of professional teachers in Ghana. The College is currently undergoing the regulatory, academic, and infrastructural processes required for full operationalisation under the supervision of GTEC and the mentorship of the University of Cape Coast.
