Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nayt Consult Limited to create structured employment pathways for students and young professionals seeking career opportunities in Germany.

The partnership is aimed at strengthening collaboration in skills development, German language training, and international employment opportunities. Under the agreement, TTU will provide facilities for language classes, while Nayt Consult will deliver an intensive German language programme designed to prepare participants for legal employment in Germany.

According to Nayt Consult, participants are expected to attain the required level of German language proficiency within six to seven months. The company will also support successful candidates with job placement, work permit processing, visa facilitation, and post-relocation assistance for up to two years through regular monitoring and on-ground support in Germany.

The programme will admit an initial batch of 50 participants, with applicants undergoing a selection process conducted by Nayt Consult. The six-month language programme will cost GH¢400 per month, bringing the total fee to GH¢2,400 per participant. The company noted that the programme has been subsidised to make it more affordable for students.

Participants seeking employment opportunities in Germany will be required to complete both internal assessments and externally administered examinations to obtain the certification needed for migration and employment.

Welcoming the partnership, Vice-Chancellor Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun reaffirmed TTU's commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of the agreement for the mutual benefit of both institutions and participating students.

The University's Director of Finance, Dr. Gabriel Ahinful, also proposed the establishment of a steering committee comprising representatives of the University, parents, and other stakeholders to oversee the programme, enhance transparency, and monitor participants throughout the process.
