The Centre of Excellence for Gender, Disability and Advocacy (CEGENDA) at Takoradi Technical University has advised candidates who completed the 2026 BECE to make productive use of their time while awaiting results.
The Director of CEGENDA, Dr. Bertha Danso, gave the advice at Takoradi Senior High School (TADISCO) on the final day of the examination as part of the centre’s annual outreach programme, encouraging students to focus on skills development, ICT training, and other vocational activities rather than idleness.
She urged candidates to also support their parents at home and avoid behaviours that could expose them to negative influences, stressing that both boys and girls should learn essential life skills such as cooking, dressmaking, and basic home management.
Dr. Danso was supported by the Head of Counselling, Mr. Charles Andoh Appiah, and TUTAG Gender Coordinator, Dr. Sarah Quansah, who also encouraged the students to remain disciplined as they await their results and prepare for senior high school.
