Ghanaian business magnate Richard Nii Armah Quaye, popularly known as RNAQ, has spoken extensively about the realities of wealth, the pressures of success, and persistent public rumours linking him to occult practices, while also addressing controversies surrounding his personal life.

Speaking on The Delay Show hosted by Deloris Frimpong Manso, RNAQ advised young people that success and wealth come with challenges that are often ignored in society’s portrayal of rich individuals. He explained that many people aspire to financial success but do not anticipate the emotional strain, responsibility, and scrutiny that accompany it.

He noted that wealth can significantly affect personal relationships, making it difficult to distinguish genuine support from hidden interest. Using an analogy, he said wealth is like sugar that naturally attracts ants, explaining that money draws attention from different people, some with sincere intentions and others driven by self-interest.

According to him, once success attracts such attention, it can lead to complications involving trust, loyalty, and personal security. He cautioned that without careful management, these pressures can overwhelm successful individuals and expose them to unnecessary risks.

RNAQ also addressed widespread rumours circulating on social media that suggested he was involved in occult practices as a source of his wealth. He strongly dismissed the claims, describing them as false and baseless.

“I have been hearing people saying my money is not genuine… I am not into any of that,” he stated, stressing that his wealth is the result of years of legitimate business activity rather than any form of occult involvement or illegal practice.

He further reacted to public curiosity surrounding a ring he is often seen wearing, which had fueled speculation during discussions about his marriage and divorce saga. He explained that many of the narratives surrounding him online are misleading and shaped by assumptions rather than facts.

The businessman also acknowledged the ongoing public interest in his personal life, including his divorce, noting that such attention has contributed to intensified scrutiny and speculation about his character and success.

His remarks have since generated widespread discussion on social media, with many Ghanaians reflecting on the pressures of wealth, the spread of rumours about successful individuals, and the broader challenges faced by public figures in managing perception and reality.
