The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi has received 50 printers from Docutech Ghana as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the university’s digital infrastructure and enhance teaching, learning, and research activities. A delegation from Docutech, led by General Manager Mr. Alhassan Fuseini, visited the university to formally present the equipment. The team also included Mr. Afanu Emmanuel, responsible for sales, and Mr. Ariff Jasny, who oversees enterprise content management, digitization, tenders, and e-learning solutions.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Fuseini expressed Docutech’s commitment to supporting KNUST’s digital transformation agenda, recalling the company’s earlier contribution to the SONSOL project in October. He noted that the donation is part of Docutech’s corporate social responsibility and reflects its desire to invest in the future of Ghana’s students. “We believe it is important to support institutions that are shaping young professionals who will compete on a global scale,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor of KNUST expressed heartfelt gratitude to Docutech, describing the gesture as “timely, impactful, and a demonstration of faith in the university’s vision and mission.” She highlighted that the printers would reduce operational costs, improve access to learning materials for students and faculty, and help the university achieve its goal of producing globally competitive graduates.
University management assured Docutech that the equipment would be strategically deployed to support academic work across departments and encouraged the company to sustain the partnership through future initiatives, including programs directly benefiting students. The donation is expected to complement KNUST’s broader digital strategy, which aims to integrate technology more effectively into teaching, learning, and research while narrowing the digital divide for students.
Mr. Fuseini concluded by emphasizing that partnerships like this are essential for building strong educational foundations in Ghana. He encouraged other private and public organizations to collaborate with universities in creating opportunities that enhance the academic experience and equip students for future professional success.
