The University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), in partnership with GCB Bank PLC, has honoured Miss Asana Abubakar Daasibi, a Level 400 student of the Department of Environment and Public Health, for her exceptional honesty after she reported an erroneous GH¢6,000 bank credit.
In recognition of her integrity, GCB Bank rewarded Miss Daasibi with GH¢10,000 during a special recognition ceremony held at the University's Council Chamber.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eric Nyarko-Sampson, who commended the student for exemplifying the University's core values and expressed appreciation to GCB Bank for recognising and rewarding integrity.
Also present were the Registrar, the Dean of Students Affairs, the Dean of the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (SNES), the Head of the Department of Environment and Public Health, and the Assistant Registrar at the Directorate of Students Affairs, who joined in celebrating the student's exemplary conduct.
The SRC President also praised Miss Daasibi for her honesty, describing her actions as a shining example to the student body, while thanking GCB Bank for promoting integrity through its generous reward.
The recognition ceremony highlighted the importance of honesty, accountability, and ethical leadership, encouraging students to uphold values that contribute positively to society.
