Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is set to engage students of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in a lecture on music marketing, branding, and the business side of entertainment.
The invitation was extended by the Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, who said he wants the award-winning musician to share his entrepreneurial journey and practical experience in building one of Ghana’s most recognised music brands.
Prof. Mawutor noted that Shatta Wale’s use of digital platforms, internet-driven music promotion, and personal branding makes him a valuable voice for students interested in the creative economy.
“I want Shatta Wale to come and address UPSA students. I’d love for him to share his business knowledge and how he learned to make music using the internet,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
Shatta Wale accepted the invitation in a Facebook post on 7th July 2026, expressing appreciation and confirming that he would visit the UPSA campus in September 2026.
The engagement is expected to expose students to practical lessons in entrepreneurship, brand development, digital marketing, and the evolving business landscape of the entertainment industry.
