The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the payment of three years’ outstanding Academic Intervention arrears owed to eligible staff of Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs).
In a statement issued on 7th July 2026, the GES said the payment covers the 2023/2024, 2024/2025, and 2025/2026 academic years and is expected to enhance staff motivation and strengthen the implementation of the Academic Intervention Programme.
Management of the Service expressed appreciation to staff for their patience, understanding, and professionalism while awaiting the release of the funds.
The GES reaffirmed its commitment to improving quality education and supporting programmes aimed at enhancing teaching and learning outcomes across Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools.
