UENR SRC Appoints Awo Yaa Adu Essiaw as Chief Justice of the SRC Judicial Council

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has appointed Miss Awo Yaa Adu Essiaw, a Level 400 BSc Information Technology student, as the Chief Justice of the SRC Judicial Council.

The appointment, announced in a letter dated 6th July 2026, was made by SRC President Abdulai Adjei Zakaria in accordance with Article 16(2)(b) of the SRC Constitution.

In the appointment letter, the SRC President commended Miss Essiaw for her dedication to upholding the law and her significant contributions to the Council through her commitment to protecting and promoting the SRC Constitution. He expressed confidence in her ability to strengthen the Judicial Council and wished her success in her new role.

The appointment takes immediate effect as the SRC continues its efforts to strengthen student governance and uphold constitutional accountability within the University.
