Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has taken steps to strengthen its alumni network with the constitution of a five-member Electoral Board to oversee the election of its first Global Executives for the Alumni Association.

The announcement was made during the university’s Alumni Homecoming held on March 27, 2026, at the Great Hall, bringing together graduates from various years, university officials and guests in a celebration of reconnection and collaboration.

The event also served as a platform for discussions on strengthening alumni relations, fostering partnerships and supporting the university’s growth and international visibility.

A key highlight of the gathering was the inauguration of the Electoral Board tasked with ensuring a transparent and credible election process for the association’s first global leadership.

The board is chaired by Mr. Michael Adu Kumi, with members including Mrs. Maura Boansi Amoakohene, Prof. Halidu Babamu Osman, Mr. Jacob Amoako and Mr. Maclean Amoako-Tuffour, each serving in specific roles related to nominations, logistics and compliance.

Stakeholders at the event emphasised the importance of a strong alumni network in promoting mentorship, institutional development and long-term support for KsTU’s academic and infrastructure growth.
