The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the opening of applications for qualified graduates to join the service as teachers.
According to GES, the recruitment targets passionate and dedicated applicants with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or a related degree in Education, including those with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or Diploma in Basic Education. Applicants must also have completed their National Service.
Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate professionalism in line with the National Teaching Standards and Code of Conduct, facilitate learning using modern technology, cater for diverse learner needs, and apply various assessment tools to measure student performance. They are also required to engage in continuous professional development and support learners in building strong research and digital skills.
GES further stated that all applicants must be in good standing with the National Teaching Council (NTC) and possess a valid teaching license. Strong communication and classroom management skills are also required, while willingness to accept postings to deprived districts remains a key condition.
Interested applicants are to apply through the official GES recruitment portal and complete the online application form. Required documents include academic certificates, National Service certificate, NTC license, Ghana Card, passport-sized photograph, and active contact details. Documents may be uploaded in PDF or image format.
The application window opens from 10th to 17th April, 2026.
