Scholarship Overview

The Fondazione Edu Scholarship, offered in partnership with KNUST and Italy’s Fondazione Edu, supports brilliant but financially needy students pursuing regular full-time undergraduate programs. The scholarship empowers students to continue their education without financial barriers and rewards academic excellence and commitment. Applicants must be first or second-year students of KNUST, have a strong academic record, and meet the financial eligibility requirements.

Eligibility & Requirements

    Applicants must be regular Ghanaian students enrolled in full-time programs at KNUST. First-year applicants must have a WASSCE aggregate of 12 or better, while continuing students must have a cumulative weighted average (CWA) of 65 or higher. Beneficiaries of other scholarships above GH₵1,500 are not eligible. All applicants must complete the online registration before submitting the required documents. Required documents include an admission letter, WASSCE results slip, senior high school transcripts, complete university transcript (for second-year students), at least two recommendation letters, awards and certificates (if any), applicant’s birth certificate, parents’ proof of income, and documents establishing sibling relationships. Applicants must also submit two essays: one explaining why they should be considered for the scholarship and another explaining why they chose their current program of study. Completed documents should be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Students Support and Financial Services Office, Room 19, Directorate of Student Affairs, J Harper Building, Commercial Area, KNUST.
