Scholarship Overview
The Holland Scholarship is a prestigious program funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, aimed at helping international students outside Europe pursue full-time undergraduate or master’s studies at Dutch universities. The scholarship provides financial support to cover part of the tuition or living expenses for one year. It is offered across 37 research universities and universities of applied sciences, enabling students to focus on their studies and immerse themselves in Dutch culture, gain international exposure, and enhance career prospects.
Eligibility & Requirements
-
Applicants must be non-European students applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program at a participating Dutch university. Candidates must meet the university-specific admission requirements and must not already hold a degree from a Dutch institution. Academic performance, motivation, and potential to benefit from studying in the Netherlands are considered during selection. No separate application exists; students indicate interest during their university application and submit required documents, including a motivation letter.
