Scholarship Overview
The Maastricht University NL High Potential Scholarship supports exceptional international students who are not citizens of European Union or European Economic Area countries. It is designed for students pursuing full-time Master’s or Research Master’s programs. The scholarship aims to attract academically outstanding candidates with strong motivation, leadership potential, and a clear vision for contributing to their field. Recipients benefit from full financial support including tuition, living expenses, insurance, and visa costs, allowing them to fully focus on their studies while joining a globally diverse academic community.
Eligibility & Requirements

Applicants must be citizens of countries outside the European Union and European Economic Area, under 35 years old by September 2026, and have applied to a full-time Master’s or Research Master’s program at Maastricht University. They must meet the academic entry requirements for their selected program, demonstrate English language proficiency, not have previously studied in the Netherlands under a similar scholarship, and hold a conditional or unconditional admission offer from Maastricht University before applying.
