Internship Overview
The United Nations Internship Program 2026 under the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international human rights work. Interns work under the supervision of a Human Rights Officer and are involved in supporting activities related to human rights monitoring, research, reporting, and policy analysis. Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a degree in fields such as law, public administration, finance, economics, sociology, psychology, management, communications, or related disciplines. Applicants must have strong written and spoken English skills, and knowledge of French is an advantage. Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to human rights principles. Applicants must be able to work in a multicultural environment and interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
