Co-Creating the Future: UG Nkabom Engages Students in Agri-food Curriculum Design
The University of Ghana’s Nutrition and Sustainable Agri-food Collaborative (UG Nkabom) held a stakeholder forum to gather youth input for developing short, hands-on courses tailored to young entrepreneurs in agribusiness. The forum focused on identifying skills gaps and practical challenges faced by youth-led startups, with key interests including digital tools, regulation, logistics, and networking.
Professor Richmond Aryeetey emphasized the importance of business in driving global progress and encouraged students to leverage networking opportunities. Dr. Hayford Ayerakwa guided participants in shaping the course content based on real-world needs and announced plans to engage more stakeholders, including policymakers.
UG Nkabom, through its Education Pillar, aims to offer practical, community-based training in climate-smart and nutrition-sensitive agri-food practices, moving away from theory to career-oriented learning. The initiative inspired participants, highlighting the value of collaboration and expert support. Source:http://ug.edu.gh/news-list
