Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) secured second place and won the Most Impactful Project Award at the ACity Tech Expo 2025 with their innovative RC Fish Feeder. This remote-controlled device automates fish feeding in aquariums and ponds, allowing users to schedule or manually control feeding via a remote or smartphone app. The project, led by Emmanuel Owusu Gyamfi, aims to integrate full automation and GPS tracking in future versions.

Supporting SDGs 2, 12, and 14, the device enhances sustainable fish farming, reduces waste, and prevents water pollution. The team, consisting of students from mechanical, electrical, and AI engineering, received a plaque and a cash prize for their achievement.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh praised their success, promising scholarships for future first-place wins and allocating GHȻ 50,000 for project development. The project was developed under the mentorship of Ing. Dr. Joseph X. F. Ribeiro, with the prototype costing GHȻ 5,000.
