The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has introduced nine new programs for the 2024/2025 academic year, .
These include Doctor of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Bachelor of Health Service Administration, a Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Psychology (with Clinical, Neuropsychology, and Counseling Psychology options), and various MPhil and Ph.D. programs in Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy. At the launch, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lydia Aziato emphasized the programs’ role in strengthening healthcare and announced plans for more offerings next year. She urged students to focus on hard work rather than AI reliance.
Volta Regional Minister James Gunu praised UHAS’s progress and pledged government support. For the new academic year, 4,640 undergraduates and 285 postgraduates were admitted.
